Terms & Conditions

Bookings

​

We always set forth our efforts to accommodate any and all contract requests for our services - even those that would be considered "short notice". While we offer our promise that we will do our best to find a date and/or time which meets your requirements, Eazy Moves Vancouver cannot guarantee any space in the booking schedule.

​

Eazy Moves Vancouver, its operators and contractors, reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or stop any service(s). Please see further details outlined below.

Deposits & Cancellations

​

Deposits are required for all services to secure space in the booking schedule and/or to cover any materials needed for your service. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone any bookings due to outstanding deposits.

If the date of service is changed, the deposit will be transferred to the new service date.

 

If a confirmed date of service is cancelled, or should you decide to no longer continue your booking with us, Eazy Moves Vancouver reserves the right to retain the full deposit amount to cover incurred costs, any materials purchased, and associated administrative fees. By cancelling a confirmed service and/or booking with us, you thereby understand and accept your forfeiture to any deposit amount(s) provided, and may be subject to additional cancellation fee(s) and/or penalties; including but not limited to, the full estimated amount of your service(s) for their anticipated duration.

Please note, a deposit is considered a transaction of good faith and security of our services. We are serious in our commitment to you and your service(s) and/or booking(s), and this should be thought about carefully if you do not intend the same to us.

Estimates & Pricing

​

A complimentary phone estimate is required for all interested service(s) in order to gather any and all details needed to provide you with the best estimated cost for your service(s).

​

We stand behind our estimates, but in order to do so, we need to be informed of every detail about your service. From this information, we are able to provide you with the most accurate estimate of cost and time for your service(s). Our estimate prices expire after 30 days from date on estimate, or until 5 days prior to date of requested service date.

​

For moving services, we need to know every item, dangerous good, oversized/specialty item, or any other requested item for transport - not only to best gauge the amount of time required to complete your service, but to ensure we bring the correct vehicle size needed to get the job done safely, as well as for insurance purposes.

​

In addition, it is crucial for us to have information regarding both your move-out location(s) and move-in location(s) to confirm that no limitations exist which could cause potential increase to the time needed to complete your move, or risk to our team of operators and drivers. This includes but is not limited to parking, loading areas, elevators & access to your location(s), strata or building restrictions, etc. You are responsible for making any and all necessary arrangements at each of your service locations. Failure to do so may result in the inability of our team to complete your service(s) on your booking date(s), with penalty up to our minimum charge(s) for the booking(s).

If anything changes to the scope of work - (i.e. amount of items that are coming with you; changes to elevator and/or access or designated loading/unloading areas; additional drop-offs, pick-ups, or locations; or any other changes we must know about) - it is your responsibility to contact us as soon as possible in order for the appropriate operational changes and any adjustment(s) to your estimate can be made, prior to your service date. Failure to inform us of any of these details could result in potential time increase which will be reflected accordingly on your final invoice, or the possibility that we are unable to complete your service(s) on your booking date(s) which could result in penalty up to our minimum charge(s) for the booking(s).

Eazy Moves Vancouver and its operators and contractors reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or stop any service(s) if we have not been provided any of the above detailed information, as it could impose on current schedule restrictions or interfere with operating requirements. If this should happen, you may be responsible for penalties including but not limited to, our minimum charge(s) for the booking(s) or the full estimated amount for your service(s).

Unless you are hiring us for packing and/or unpacking services, you are responsible for having everything packed and ready to go for your move date, prior to us arriving. If this has not been done, Eazy Moves Vancouver and its operators, drivers, and contractors, reserves the right to refuse transport of the unpacked item(s) due to insurance purposes, scheduling restrictions, and potential risk to the safety of your item(s) during transport. If we have the freedom in our schedule to accommodate, you will be charged for any additional time incurred to complete your move. Please note: any items that are not packed by Eazy Moves Vancouver or its operators are NOT covered by insurance. Payments & Invoices

​

All deposits and/or invoices are due in full by the date specified on your estimate and/or invoice, unless other payment schedules have been made prior to your service date(s). 

 

If you require alternative payment schedules, please inform us as soon as possible so we can make the appropriate arrangements on our end, and to avoid possible late payment charges*.

​

For commercial clients, we are pleased to offer a commercial account program. If your company is not currently registered as a commercial account with us prior to your service booking, your deposit/invoice will be due upon date specified. To sign up as a commercial account, please contact us.

​

*Any late payments are subject to a late payment fee of $50.00, plus interest (10%) each month the invoice remains outstanding.

​

Eazy Moves Vancouver reserves the right to postpone or cancel any bookings due to outstanding deposits and/or invoice payments.

​

​

Materials

​

If you require packing materials - (such as boxes, packing paper, tape etc.) please let us know during the estimate process. If you discover that you need any materials after your estimate has been sent to you, please let us know as soon as possible so that arrangements can be made to deliver them to you prior to your move date, and they will be added to your final invoice upon completion of your move.

If your service(s) is cancelled, or should you decide to no longer continue your service(s) with us, you are still responsible for any materials provided to you.

Since we cannot guarantee the storage conditions of materials once they have been delivered to other locations, we are unable to return them. Any materials provided to you will be reflected on your final invoice, and our standard invoice and late policies will apply.

Once materials have been delivered to your property or site location, they become the sole responsibility of you (the client). Eazy Moves Vancouver and its operators, drivers, and contractors, accept no responsibility for storage conditions, loss, damage, or expense after delivery of materials to site for any reason. Please ensure your materials are kept and stored in a safe, secure, and moisture/weather-resistent location, for the duration of time on site and use.

Limited Liability + Insurance Coverage

​

The safety and security of your items and possessions are important to us, and we make it our number one. While our team of operators extends every effort to ensure the safe and secure handling and moving of your items, unfortunately, accidents can happen.

 

When you book a service with Eazy Moves Vancouver, our included liability and insurance offers coverage for the items you are wishing to have us move, however, there are a few exceptions.

 

Our liability and insurance does not cover: 

​

  1. Any and all items NOT packed or secured by our Eazy Moves Vancouver team of operators.

 

This is because we are unable to see or guarantee the condition of item(s) prior to moving, and materials and/or packing methods used to ensure adequate safety, security, and protection of item(s).

​​

This also includes any and all loose items, or any article(s) or item(s) not packed securely in a containment for safe  transport (i.e. any loose articles, such as: clothing or fabric, toys or games, electronics, collectibles or decorations, supplies or equipment, crafts, delicates, artwork, liquid supplies, consumables, vegetation (plants - live, artificial, dead), pet supplies, etc.

  2. Any and all items during transit from location to location - meaning, while they are on the road, in steerage, or on-            board any ocean or freight vessel.

 

Our team of operators, drivers and contractors, are trained to safely and securely move and maneuver your items between destinations - however, certain road conditions, land to sea or other external travel sources and conditions, and other variables are simply just out of our control.

We recommend purchasing a "goods in transit" insurance through your personal provider, or checking with your current home owner's/renter's insurance coverage to see if it is included.

​

  3. Any damage or impact to each property or location while we are on-site.

​

While our team of operators, drivers and contractors, practice all safety methods and extend their due diligence to ensure zero impact to your property and residence while on location, Eazy Moves Vancouver and its team of operators, drivers and contractors, cannot be held liable or responsible in the event of any damage or impact to your property or residence, and any other building(s). Unforeseen structural or condition issues, natural deterioration, force majeure, and poor or limited access points etc. are just a few possibilities we could encounter during your service. 

​

Your home owner's/renter's insurance coverage should cover any unforeseen event or circumstance(s) of this happening - however, we recommend checking your policy to ensure this is included in your coverage.

If you have multiple locations, or other parties' locations involved in your service, please consult with your insurance provider(s) to ensure you are (all) covered in this instance. 

​

  4. Any and all items NOT declared in your initial estimate process, or prior to your date of service.

​

It is your responsibility to inform us of any and all items you wish to have us move for you, so they can be properly declared and documented for insurance and operational purposes. Failure to include or inform us of any item(s) prior to your date of service, will exclude them from our standard liability and insurance coverage for your service(s) and scheduled service date(s), and risk the inability of our operators to carry along with the rest of your items. 

Please ensure you have carefully and thoughtfully itemized all of the items to be included in your move, in order to avoid this occurrence.

Parking & Restrictions

​

In order for things to go as smoothly as possible on your service date, we require our vehicle(s) to be as close to the entrance & access points of your service location(s) as possible. Please ensure that there is ample and legal parking at your property or site location(s) for our team prior to our arrival to eliminate any potential obstacles, delays to our time, or possible incurrence of penalties.

If on-site parking is not available, please inform us as soon as possible during the estimate process so that arrangements and any associated fees can be included in your estimate. If your site locations are in a permit-held zone, it is your responsibility to acquire and purchase any and all necessary permits and associated fees for the date(s) of service(s), and the duration of time our team spends on site. 

​​

Eazy Moves Vancouver and its operators, drivers and contractors, are not responsible for any parking fees, tickets, and/or by-law fines incurred during the time at your property to provide your estimate(s), visit(s), delivery(s) and/or service(s). If such fees or penalties are acquired, the cost(s) will be forwarded to you, or included as part of your final invoice.

Failure to make necessary arrangements for legal parking and access at your service location(s), and/or elevator reservation(s), could result in the inability of our team to complete your service(s). We reserve the right to stop any and all services if these arrangements have not been made by you prior to our arrival. If this should be the case, you may be responsible for penalty up to our minimum charge(s) for the booking(s).

By choosing to hire Eazy Moves Vancouver for your service needs, you agree that you have read, understand and accept all terms and conditions of service outlined in this document.

By accepting the terms & conditions stated above, you acknowledge their applicability to you, and you agree to refrain from any course of civil action, claim, or dispute against us regarding them.
